Live by Faith

In this generation of smart phones, tablets, laptops, social media where information is at our finger tips, we must continue in 2018 to live by the word of God and the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Apsotle Paul reminded us “that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1–3).

Therefore, let us keep faithful in 2018, and remind ourselves how our Lord Jesus Christ asked: “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17).

Keep faithful

Keep the Faith in 2018; “And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil” (2 Thessalonians 3:2-3).

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator” (1 Peter 4:17-19).

Rejoice

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).

Faithful

It’s a New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We must keep praying to God in the name of Jesus to keep the faith and endure every day of 2018.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

Focus on getting to heaven

Jesus says: “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Matthew 6:19-21).

Follow righteousness

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23).
“They that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honor” (Proverbs 21:21). “Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life” (1 Timothy 6:19).

The End

God or the world?

We cannot love God and this world! The Holy Scriptures says: “Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is an enemy of God” (James 4:4). “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God” (1 Corinthians 3:19).

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever” (1 John 2:15–17).

Kingdom of God or secret society

We cannot be in the Kingdom of God and in a secret society! Jesus says: “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon” (Luke 16:13).

Who is going to Heaven?

Jesus says: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat; because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:13–14).
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting” (Galatians 6:7–8).
