Do you believe in Jesus Christ?

Job asked: “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14).

Apostle Paul said: “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3).

The disciple John said: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, “the Christ of God” (Luke 9:20) says: “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:44).

“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” (John 11:25-27).

“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” (Revelation 1:18).

“I love Jesus”

“Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, ‘Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?’
Jesus answered and said unto him, ‘If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid’” (John 14:22-27).

“I Love God”

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, that he who loveth God love his brother also” (1 John 5:20-21).

I Love God Concept

Before it is too late: REPENT!

We must all take a moment to consider the sure mercies of God to human beings: God sent his only begotten Son to this earth in the form of flesh (John 1:1-12), and he was put to death without cause! (Hebrews 3:15).

“For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:7-8).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). “…except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:5). “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me” (John 6:38).

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18).

Heaven and earth will pass away!

Many of us listen to the radio or watch television to see the weather forecast before we leave the house in the morning; this helps us to prepare for the weather ahead. If it is forecasted to rain, we take an umbrella; if extreme cold is predicted, we dress warmly; and so on. We believe the weather forecaster on the radio or television, even though it is just a prediction. Based on that forecast, we prepare for the weather of the day.

As we believe the weather forecasted for the day to prepare for ahead for our safety and well-being, shouldn’t we be prepared for the Last Day as foretold by the word of God?

“For, behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch” (Malachi 4:1).

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?” (2 Peter 3:10-12).

Therefore, the same way we believe the forecasted information supplied by satellites or other scientific instruments about weather forecasts, we must without doubt believe the coming events foretold by the word of God. God loves us so much that he does not want to see anyone perish when on the Last Day (Revelation 11:18).

To reject the word of God is to reject God; to reject God is to reject the only begotten Son of God which is to reject the gift of life everlasting (Jeremiah 8:9) (John 3:16-18).

Jesus, the only begotten Son of God says: “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:46-48).

Knowledge of the Truth

“Do not judge a book by its cover” is a is well known slogan:

“Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read” (Isaiah 34:16).

“The LORD gave the word: great was the company of those that published it” (Psalm 68:11).

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (2 Peter 1:19–21).

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).

“Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it” (Proverbs 8:10–11).

Jesus says: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35).

“Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).

Sign of things to come:

We are not to become enthralled, entangled, and engrossed with the things of this world such as the recent blockbuster movie because it is a prelude of “art imitating life” of similar things to come.

The day is coming when the prophet Daniel foretold said: “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people” (Daniel 8:23–24).

“And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand” (Daniel 8:25).

Jesus says: “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before” (Matthew 24:24-25).

Just as untold numbers of people are rushing with fascination to see this most recent hit movie, this is a sign of when the seventh king rises to power over the seventh world kingdom, countless people are going to fall for the “…great signs and wonders…” and “…worship the beast..”.

The word of God reveals this fact as written by John saying: “And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?’” (Revelation 13:4).
“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
If any man have an ear, let him hear” (Revelation 13:8-9).
End Of Days

Word of God

“Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read” (Isaiah 34:16).

Throughout a lifetime, humans will have read, spoken, seen, heard or touched innumerable words. However, we must believe the word of God to live forever.

“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God” (Psalm 90:2).

“Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever” (Psalm 119:160).

“For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth” (Psalm 33:4, 6).

“The LORD gave the word: great was the company of those that published it” (Psalm 68:11).

“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him” (Proverbs 30:5).

“Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded” (Proverbs 13:13).

“Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).

Jesus says: “It is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God” (Luke 4:4).

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35).

Gospel of peace

We must be reminded daily how the Apostle Paul well expressed to have “… your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;…” (Ephesians 6:13-17) “…because the days are evil…” (Ephesians 5:15-20).

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:13-17).

Live or second death?

Jesus foretold of his coming said: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live” (John 5:25).

Now, therefore, “as the only way to get the things that are eternal is through Jesus Christ who died for us; for this purpose then we should live unto him and not unto ourselves” (2 Corinthians 5:15).

Therefore, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” (2 Corinthians 13:5). “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love” (Ephesians 3:17). “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ: (1 Thessalonians 5:9).
