JESUS says: “If a man [LOVES ME, HE WILL KEEP MY WORDS]: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him” (John 14:23).
The disciple John said: “[HEREBY KNOW WE THAT WE DWELL IN HIM, AND HE IN US, BECAUSE HE HATH GIVEN US OF HIS SPIRIT]. [WHOSOEVER SHALL CONFESS THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD, GOD DWELLETH IN HIM, AND HE IN GOD]” (1 John 4:13, 15).
“And now, little children, [ABIDE IN HIM]; that, when [HE SHALL APPEAR], we may have [CONFIDENCE], and not be [ASHAMED BEFORE HIM AT HIS COMING]. If ye know that [HE IS RIGHTEOUS], ye know that [EVERY ONE THAT DOETH RIGHTEOUSNESS IS BORN OF HIM]” (1 John 2:28-29).
The Apostle Paul said: “But what saith it? [THE WORD IS NIGH THEE, EVEN IN THY MOUTH, AND IN THY HEART]: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [THAT IF THOU SHALT CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, AND SHALT BELIEVE IN THINE HEART THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, THOU SHALT BE SAVED]. For [WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS]; and [WITH THE MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION]” (Romans 10:8-10).
“Grace be with all them that [LOVE] our Lord Jesus Christ in [SINCERITY]. Amen” (Ephesians 6:23-24).
At the end of every year prior to the oncoming year, the goal and ambition is to set goals for accomplishments in the New Year, and it is customary for people to make New Years’ Resolutions which run the gamut from –
“I am going to be a better person”; “I am going to exercise to become more fit”; “I am going to save more money”; “I am going to buy a new car”; “I am going to buy a new house”; “I am going to take a vacation”; “I am going to find the love of my life”. “I am going to get married”; “I am going to eat healthier foods”; “I am going to spend more time with my family”; “I am going to relax more often”; “I am going to become more spiritual”; “I am going to join a church”; “I am going to become more religious”; “I am going to lose weight”; And the list goes on and on.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).
“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18).
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus: who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy 2:5–6).
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us [ETERNAL LIFE], and this life is in his Son” (1 John 11).
“[HE THAT BELIEVETH ON THE SON HATH EVERLASTING LIFE]: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).
JESUS CHRIST says: “[THE TIME IS FULFILLED], and the Kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:32).
“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me” (John 6:38).
“Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
“[LAY NOT UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES UPON EARTH], where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But [LAY UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES IN HEAVEN], where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. [FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE WILL YOUR HEART BE ALSO]” (Matthew 6:19-21).
Seek the PEACE that is above, Seek the PEACE OF GOD: “And the [PEACE OF GOD], which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).
“[FOR WHEN THEY SHALL SAY, PEACE AND SAFETY; THEN SUDDEN DESTRUCTION COMETH UPON THEM], as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3). “Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly” (Isaiah 33:7)
“The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another” (Psalm 75:3, 7).
“We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).
“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
“And let the [PEACE OF GOD RULE IN YOUR HEARTS], to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:15-16)
“Now the [GOD OF PEACE] be with you all. Amen” (Romans 15:33).
