“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine” (Proverbs 3:5-10).
The D A Y of the Lord: The G A T H E R I N G: J E R U S A L E M
On the day/night of the coming of our Lord, Savior and King Jesus will commence the gathering of those alive and risen from the dead in Jesus Christ. Jesus says: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matthew 24:36).
“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27).
“Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes” (Matthew 24:17-18).
“Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left” (Matthew 24:40-41).
“For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be [GATHERED] together” (Matthew 24:28).
“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in [JERUSALEM] shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call” (Joel 2:31-32).
“The LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the [MOUNT OF OLIVES], which is before [JERUSALEM] on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the [EAST] and toward the [WEST], and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the [NORTH], and half of it toward the [SOUTH]” (Zechariah 14:8–9, 4).
“And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the [FOUR WINDS], from one end of heaven to the other” (Matthew 24:31).
“NOW we beseech you, brethren, by the [COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST], and by our [GATHERING TOGETHER UNTO HIM], That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand” (2 Thessalonians 2:1-2).
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17).
“Wherefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).
Signs of the END OF THE WORLD:
Take heed and hear these W O R D S spoken by “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8),
“Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it” (Luke 11:28). “Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many” (Matthew 24:4-5).
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the [WORLD] for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the [END COME]” (Matthew 24:14).
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judæa flee into the mountains: But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:” (Matthew 24:15-16, 20).
“For then shall be [GREAT TRIBULATION], such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened” (Matthew 24:21-22).
“Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before” (Matthew 24:23-25).
“[IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION] of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:29-30).
“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the [LAST DAY]” (John 6:44).
“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the [LAST DAY]” (John 12:48). “I am with you alway, even unto the [END OF THE WORLD]” (Matthew 28:20).
“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and [EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM], and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen” (Revelation 1:7).
A moment of silience while we hear these words of our Lord, Savior and King J E S U S:
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:’ But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also” (Matthew 5:38-39).
“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake” (Matthew 5:11).
“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:10).
“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8-9).
“Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it” (Luke 11:28).
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35).
“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
“I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20).
Rich in F A I T H or Riches of this world?
“Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?” (James 2:5).
“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe” (1 Corinthians 1:17-21).Jesus also reminds us to not “Let the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word and it becometh unfruitful” (Mark 4:19).
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37).
“Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded” (Proverbs 13:13).
“Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live” (Proverbs 4:4).
“I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil” (Psalm 119:62).
“Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever” (Psalm 119:160).
“Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).
This is G O D’s Earth! Give God thanks in the name of Jesus.
“For all the earth is mine” (Exodus 19:5). “The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein” (Psalms 95:5, 24:1).
Therefore, the least every human being must do daily is to give God thanks in the name of his only begotten Son Jesus Christ (John 3:16-18)! “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:2–3).
“For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:21–22).
Now, therefore, “as the only way to get the things that are eternal is through Jesus Christ who died for us; for this purpose then we should live unto him and not unto ourselves” (2 Corinthians 5:15).
“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:20).
Take up the C R O S S: Follow J E S U S.
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, ‘If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me’” (Matthew 16:24). “And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me” (Matthew 10:38).
“For it is written, ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.’ For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18-19).
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).
“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else” (Isaiah 45:22).
J E S U S.
His name is JESUS; the only begotten Son of God.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
The whole world would be wise to follow him because only he has been given the power to give human beings life forever!
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18).
Jesus Christ says: “Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life” (John 5:39–40).
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
W A T C H for the S I G N S of the coming of J E S U S.
“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come” (Joel 2:31).
Our Lord, Savior and King explained of his coming, saying: “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame” (Revelation 16:15).
“But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light” (1 Thessalonians 5:4–5).
“Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:6-9).
“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh” (James 5:7–8).
“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:20-21).
“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call” (Joel 2:31-32).
THINK on these W O R D S of G O D:
Let these words resonate in our daily lives as spoken by the Apostle Paul, saying:
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:4-8).
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen” (Philippians 4:23).
