Time is ticking away!

A week or so ago much has been proclaimed about “Times up” at a recent well known awards show. Without any doubt indeed the word of God tells that when “the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan … into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Revelation 12:9} down to this earth he knows that he has a short time (Revelation 12:12).

When our Lord, Savior and King Jesus Christ was here he said: “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).
“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:32). “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me” (John 6:38). “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

Indeed “Time is ticking away” ! “For when they shall say, peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

Who is going to Heaven?

Jesus says: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat; because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:13–14).

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (Romans 8:1).

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting” (Galatians 6:7–8).

Who will see God?

My heart desires to see and to be with God.

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18).

Jesus, the only begotten Son of God says: “All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him” (Matthew 11:27).

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8-9).

Great Tribulation

In recent years many movies were made, and continuing to this day, about epedemics, pandemics and contagions. Jesus warned that the time will come one day when indeed there will be pestilences (Matthew 24:6-8).  “All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:8); “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls” (Luke 21:17-19).

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).

Let us also be comforted by these words in the Holy Scriptures.

“The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come” (Isaiah 57:1).

“The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net” (Micah 7:2).

Live Forever!

Jesus says: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, [THE HOUR IS COMING, AND NOW IS], when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation” (John 5:25-29).

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall [NEVER SEE DEATH”] (John 8:51).

“I am with you alway, even unto the [END OF THE WORLD]. Amen” (Matthew 28:20).

Become a sheep

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Jesus, the only begotten Son of God says: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand” (John 10:23:29).

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).

Believe the word of God

Anyone refusing to believe that there are indeed 12 hours in a day (John 11:9-10); Jesus warns, saying: “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the Last Day” (John 12:48).

Day and Night

“IN the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day” (Genesis 1:1-5).

Jesus, God’s only begotten Son said: “Are there not twelve hours in the day?” If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him” (John 11:9-10).

How many hours are in a night?

Are there really twenty fours in a day? The answer is unequivocally, no. There are tweleve (12) hours in a day.
Jesus, God’s only begotten Son asked: “Are there not twelve hours in the day?” If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him” (John 11:9-10).

Now, many people are quick to point out saying” “that was in the old time, and this is a new age of time. Let us never forget, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

Are there 24 or 12 hours in a day?

So then, how many hours are there in a day? Twenty four hours? To arrive at the correct answer we must seek the answer in the word of God because God created this heaven and earth {Genesis 1:1).

When God created this heaven and earth, he divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night; and the evening and the morning were the first day (Genesis 1:3-5). When it is midday, it is the middle of the day, and at midnight, it is the middle of the night. There are only twelve hours in a day (John 11:9-10).
