Wormwood

In 2016 it did not happen; it may not happen either in 2017. But, one coming year it will happen.

“And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter” (Revelation 8:7-11).

Jesus says: Therefore, do as Jesus says: “…repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15) because he warns, saying: “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

Once in a blue moon

There is no fear in love.

Without a doubt, there are untold numbers of people right now living in fear of the things that will come upon this earth. So many are so fearful that they have found comfort in the doctrine of the “rapture” believing that should they be alive they will escape the great period of tribulation.

However, Jesus says: “And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not a hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls” (Luke 21:16–19).

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18).

“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10).

“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:15-16).
“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the [DAY OF JUDGMENT]: because as he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17).

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).

Apocalypse

Great Period of Tribulation

The day is coming, and it is soon coming when life as we know it will be changed drastically. In recent years, and continuing to this day, many movies are made about epedemics, pandemics and contagions. Jesus warned that the time will come one day when indeed there will be pestilences.

Jesus says: “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken” (Matthew 21:26). “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, [BUT THE END IS NOT YET]” (Matthew 24:6–7).

“All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:8).

Let us also be comforted by these words in the Holy Scriptures.

“The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net” (Micah 7:2).

“The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness” (Isaiah 57:1-2).

FAITH

Jesus asks: “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8).

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

“We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).

“Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless” (2 Peter 3:14). “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17).

Jerusalem has fallen!

Our Lord Jesus Christ says: “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord” (Matthew 23:37-39).

Today, although there continues to be numerous attempts at peace culminating to the end of time, there is never going to be lasting peace in Jerusalem. Many people overlook the fact that in John’s vision of the end of time, the holy city, the great city, Jerusalem is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord Jesus was crucified (Revelation 11:8).

God promised the inhabitants of Jerusalem that the city would remain forever (Jeremiah 17:25) if they adhered to his commandments. However, these commandments as spoken by Jeremiah, just as the everlasting covenant were broken (Isaiah 24:5). The word of God says:

“They have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things” (Jeremiah 16:18). “And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth” (Revelation 18:23–24).

“And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, ‘It is done.’ And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great” (Revelation 16:17–18, 20–21). I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel” (Revelation 21:2, 11-12).

“666”

What is the meaning of the number “666”?

“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six” (Revelation 13:18).

This chapter has puzzled people since the time it has been written because they are looking for wisdom in this world. To obtain wisdom and understanding we must read the word of God to discern the meaning of 666 (1 Kings 10:23) (2 Chronicles 1:7–12).

Who is the antichrist?

The antichrist has not come yet!

The coming end of time on this earth, the last years of time, will be known by the indisputable events taking shape when there will come in that time a rise to power of one ruler over this whole earth (Daniel 9:16, 11:45).

“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time” (1 John 2:18).

Jesus foretold of this period of great trouble not since time began or ever will be again, “And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days” (Mark 13:20).

“When ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judæa flee to the mountains” (Mark 13:14).

End Of Days

Believe the word of God

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18).

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:19).

“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe” (1 Corinthians 1:21).

Cross / Earth

Power is only of God

“God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God” (Psalm 62:11).

“The Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power; that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God” (1 Corinthians 4:20, 2:5).

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

World And Cross

World Peace?

The headline “World Peace” continues to be pronounced as an end goal of many among us. But, is there ever going to be peace on this earth?

When Jesus was here he said: “Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division. For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law” (Luke 12:51).

Therefore, do not be deceived by pronouncements of world peace because the prince of this world, the devil, aka Satan knows he has a “…short time…” (Revelation 12:12); and he is using every possible means to deceive the whole world into thinking that one day there is going to have peace here on earth (Revelation 13:14).

“For when they shall say, peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

“For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man” (Luke 21:35-36).
