GOOD FRIDAY: REPENTANCE

On the day that our Lord, Savior and King was crucified, he endured unimaginable things at the hands of the roman soldiers who mocked, scourge and spit on him (Mark 10:24).

“And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Prætorium; and they call together the whole band. And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!

And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him. And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him” (Mark 15:16-20).

Every human alive on today would be wise to come to REPENTANCE of sins and accept Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior and King. The prophet Isaiah foretold of the day of Jesus’ crucifixion when he said:

“I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting” (Isaiah 50:6).

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8), says: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).

“Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me” (John 6:38).

How to repent?

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:8-10).

A NARROW WAY to ETERNAL LIFE.

Jesus says: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).

“I am the light of the world: [HE THAT FOLLOWETH ME SHALL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS, BUT SHALL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE]” (John 8:12).

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat; because strait is the gate, and [NARROW IS THE WAY], which [LEADETH UNTO LIFE], and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:13–14).

The Apostle Paul said: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, [WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH, BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT]” (Romans 8:1).

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19–21).

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith” (Galatians 5:22).

“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live” (Romans 8:12-13).

Man walking to the cross

GOD must always be PRAYED TO and PRAISED!

Our FATHER, GOD, the LORD we give you thanks and praise in the name of your beloved Son JESUS, our Lord and Savior for EVERYTHING. “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen” (Matthew 6:13).

“‘Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?’” (Jeremiah 32:26-27).

“O LORD, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches” (Psalm 103:24).

“Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O LORD; neither are there any works like unto thy works. All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O LORD; and shall glorify thy name” (Psalms 86:8-9).

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus: who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy 2:5–6).

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10–11).

“For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: [THAT ALL MEN SHOULD HONOUR THE SON, EVEN AS THEY HONOUR THE FATHER]. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:21-24).

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:20).
Thanksgiving Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks to God the Father for everything.

Are you SAVED?

“Look unto me, and be ye [SAVED], all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else” (Isaiah 45:22).

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be [SAVED]” (John 3:16-17).

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are [SAVED] it is the power of God. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to [SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE]” (1 Corinthians 1:19, 21).

“He that [BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED]: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18).

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt [BELIEVE IN THINE HEART THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, THOU SHALT BE SAVED]. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto [SALVATION]” (Romans 10:8-10).

“I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20).

Bible verse This is the day the Lord has made. Psalm

To get to heaven human beings must obtain LIGHT on the LAST DAY.

The LIGHT from GOD is hidden in JESUS CHRIST. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:2–3).

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is [LIGHT], and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of [LIGHTS], with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Jesus, the only begotten Son of God says: “I am come a [LIGHT] into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness’” (John 12:46).

“I am the [LIGHT] of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12).

“Wherefore God saith: ‘Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee [LIGHT]’” (Ephesians 5:14).

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:44-55).

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. “Wherefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–18).

Jesus says: “No man can [COME TO ME], except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will [RAISE HIM UP] at the [LAST DAY]” (John 6:44).
