Celebrations of New Years or Newness of LIFE (John 3:16-18) (Romans 6:1-4)?

There is a year coming that will be the Last Year and Last Day on this earth.

Unfortunately, untold numbers of people may find these words inappropriate at this time and would rather be out celebrating the New Year festivities to usher 2019!

However, as graphic as this photograph may be to many people, there is no hiding the TRUTH: word of God.
“Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).

“Thy word is [TRUE] from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever” (Psalm 119:160).

“Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded” (Proverbs 13:13).

“And the times of this ignorance God winked at but now [COMMANDETH] all men everywhere to repent. Because he hath [APPOINTED A DAY], in which he will [JUDGE THE WORLD] in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained” (Acts 17:30-31).

“For we must all appear before the [JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST]; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) says: “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).

“Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me” (John 6:38).

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

“Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life” (John 5:39–40).

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:34–35).

Emergence

New Year’s resolutions:

At the end of every year prior to the oncoming year, the goal and ambition is to set goals for accomplishments in the New Year, and it is customary for people to make New Years’ Resolutions which run the gamut from –
– “I am going to be a better person”
– “I am going to exercise to become more fit”
– “I am going to save more money”
– “I am going to buy a new car”
– “I am going to buy a new house”
– “I am going to take a vacation”
– “I am going to find the love of my life”
– “I am going to get married”
– “I am going to eat healthier foods”
– “I am going to spend more time with my family”
– “I am going to relax more often”
– “I am going to become more spiritual”
– “I am going to join a church”
– “I am going to become more religious”
– “I am gling to lose weight”
– And the list goes on and on.

For those among us who have not already done so, the most important resolution to be added to the list is:

– Follow Jesus Christ.

Who is Jesus Christ?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18).

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus: who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy 2:5–6).

“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son” (1 John 11).

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).

World Peace?

Every year that passes by in this world into a new year, the ambitious goal is that one day there will be world peace.

Is there going to be world peace in 2019?

The Apostle Paul expressly said, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

“For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil” (Romans 13:3).

The god of this world, the prince of this world, the prince of the power of the air, the dragon, that old serpent, the Devil, also known as Satan, the wicked one, the fallen once anointed angel, Lucifer, and all his fallen angels which are locked in chains of darkness continue to deceive humans into believing that one day there is going to be a New World order which will ursher in world peace on this earth.

Do not fall into the web of deceit and lies of the prince of this world “because he knoweth that he hath but a short time” (Revelation 12:12).

“For when they shall say, peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

“Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly” (Isaiah 33:7)

“The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another” (Psalm 75:3, 7).

“We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).

Seek the PEACE that is above: Seek the PEACE OF GOD.

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

“Now the [GOD OF PEACE] be with you all. Amen” (Romans 15:33).

P R A Y E R.

O God in the name of Jesus, hear our prayer:
We give you thanks for bringing us into this day;
We give you thanks for supplying our needs this day;
We give you thanks for healing us from our diseases this day;
We give you thanks for your blessings and mercies this day;
O God, in the name of your beloved Son Jesus we pray.

“IT is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night; to shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore” (Psalms 92:1-2, 15, 113:2).

AMEN

RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD after JESUS CHRIST or after the Rudiments of the world?

“The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works” (Psalm 145:17).

“For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright” (Psalm 11:7).

“The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness” (Jeremiah 4:2).

“Offer the sacrifices of [RIGHTEOUSNESS], and put your trust in the LORD” (Psalm 4:5).

“[BEWARE] lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the [RUDIMENTS OF THE WORLD], and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:8-10).

“IF ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory” (Colossians 3:1-4).

GOD rewards us according to our Works.

“I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings” (Jeremiah 17:10).

“With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward. For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks” (Psalm 18:25-27).

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23).

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences” (2 Corinthians 5:10-11).

“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son” (John 5:22).

“Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

For there is no respect of persons with God” (Romans 2:6-11).

“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling that ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the [DAY OF CHRIST]” (Philippians 2:12, 1:10).

Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, the Lamb says: “And, behold, I come quickly; and my [REWARD] is with me, to give every man according as his [WORK] shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (Revelation 22:12-13).

Looking for Love? Look to GOD: For GOD is LOVE.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

But [GOD COMMENDETH HIS LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US]. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life” (Romans 5:6-10).

“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:15-16).

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us” (1 John 4:17-19).

“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love” (1 John 4:7-9).

Every day walk in FAITH with GOD by FOLLOWING JESUS CHRIST.

Let us be reminded how Abraham walked faithfully with God.

“AND when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, ‘I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect’” (Genesis 17:1).

“By [FAITH] Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

By [FAITH] he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God” (Hebrews 11:8-10).
Also, let us bring into remembrance how Enoch also walked faithfully with God as it is written: “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him” (Genesis 5:24).

“By [FAITH] Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God” (Hebrews 11:5).

“But [WITHOUT FAITH] it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:16).

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Matthew 16:24).

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:2-3).

“Now [FAITH] is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1)

“For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him” (Isaiah 64:4).

“Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD” (Psalm 106:48).

Quickening Spirit = Celestial body = Immortality = Eternal Life

Human beings were created from the dust of this earth (Genesis 2:7). Our human bodies were not made to last forever. To live forever our mortal bodies must be changed to become immortal.

“There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory” (1 Corinthians 15:40–41).

To see and be with God and Jesus in the heavens at the end of this world we must become quickening spirits (John 5:21–22).

“The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly” (1 Corinthians 15:47–49).

When Jesus arose from the dead, he obtained a celestial body. At the end of time, those who are rewarded with the gift of eternal light can die no more and will become equal to the angels, being the children of God and the children of the resurrection (Matthew 20:36).

“For as the Father rises up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son” (John 5:21–22).

“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:45).

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:50-51, 53).

Therefore, the Apostle Paul also said: “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:2–3).

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17).

“Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death” (1 Corinthians 15:24-26).

“Wherefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).

Where is GOD?

“Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is he that sitteth upon the [CIRCLE OF THE EARTH], and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in” (Isaiah 40:21-22).

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork” (Psalm 19:1).

“Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart” (Job 37:23–24).

“[NO MAN HATH SEEN GOD] at any time; [THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON], which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18).
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, [THE MAN CHRIST JESUS]: who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy 2:5–6).

Jesus says: “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23–24).

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
